St. Paul Village
Management Agreement

On February 18th, the Board of St. Paul Village formally signed a management agreement with Episcopal Retirement Homes (ERH).  Under this agreement, Episcopal Retirement Homes will assume management responsibilities for the  operation of St. Paul Village while the ownership remains as before. The current Board will continue to oversee the performance of  Episcopal Retirement Homes in their responsibilities. Our Executive Director, Jay Kittenbrink will remain active in the management of St. Paul Village and will concentrate on negotiations with the Department of Housing and Urban Development for extensive renovations to the facility.  Episcopal Retirement Homes operates two Continuum of Care Retirement facilities in Hyde Park (Deupree House and Marjorie P. Lee) as well as two facilities like St. Paul Village in Dayton and Cambridge Ohio. ERH will provide stability for the succession of present employees as they  retire in the years ahead and bring other resources to assist in operating St. Paul Village. They have extensive experience in dealing with HUD and share our values of ministry and of serving our residents with more than just safe and  affordable housing. This change will take place on March 1st.  We have conducted meetings with all of our residents to assure them that the staff will remain intact and that it is blessing for all of us to form this partnering relationship.

The Board and staff at St. Paul Village believe this will be a great step forward in maintaining the quality of the St. Paul Village ministry and commitment to serving our residents in the years ahead.

If you have any concerns or questions about this new arrangement for St. Paul Village, please contact Jay Kittenbrink at 272-1118 or e-mail stpaul@wwdb.org  or you can contact Gates Smith the Chairman of the Village Board at     527-4875 or e-mail g88smith@cinci.rr.com .

drive

St. Paul Village is sponsoring a used cell phone drive. We all know the wireless phone companies do not want the old cell phones. St. Paul Village has found a company which refurbishes and sends the phones to foreign countries and pays non-profit charitable organizations like St. Paul Village form $2 to $25 per phone. A box to collect the old phones is stationed in the St. Paul Village lobby and in the Church narthex near the member mailboxes. This is a fundraising effort and an event which eliminates the waste of the old cell phones and prevents problems to our environment that the heavy metals cause. We all know people such as Church members, members of our families or friends who have upgraded their phones and have old phones lying around. Please help our environment, people in other countries and aid St. Paul Village by   bringing old phones to our office or using the box located in the Church Narthex.
