St. Paul Lutheran Church
WHASSUP WITH MIMIC????? Ten groups have gathered around the many focus areas that you as members of the congregation felt were important. Over 70 members have participated in one or more meetings to develop ideas, put them in writing to document these and to move our congregation and God's work here at St Paul...FORWARD!
"Lots" in a word.
Lots of good ideas are great but it will take involvement to get some of these things done and into ACTION". Some ideas require specific skills (i.e. computers and websites), but others simply require an effort from someone with a passion for the subject ...and don think of this activity as a committee... most efforts are not "perennially" serving on some committee, but a short to medium term effort to get these ideas into action! Some things are happening already, here are just a few.......:
- In response to our Young Adults Focus Group, a new Bible study for young adults is forming on Sundays with Tom Ritter leading the group.
- Russ Moody and Ken Wichman have stepped up to take Tom's place for the "Adult" Bible study group that meets between services on Sundays.
- A group has formed to inventory our church technology to determine how we can better communicated with each other and keep us all up to date on happenings in our Christian community here at St Paul.
- Those of you with email addresses that we have on file are already getting weekly announcements direct to your email on upcoming events and announcements. All you who have not given your email to us, please do so to the church office: stpaulcinci@yahoo.com. Your email will be held in strict confidence, and not be used for other than St Paul Church business/ events.
- A group has formed to take bids on a new church sign out front. Our current sign is over 20 years old, and it is time to bring our signage" into the 21st century.
- A new member directory with updated information and email addresses where available is available to you in the coffee area off the Narthex.
- VBS for this summer is already in the planning stages and we have a group of volunteers who will make it happen and BLOG this summer. (planning ahead!)
"My church in 6 words or less"...
