Goal:  To produce a list of actionable ideas, through group discussion, that addresses your group’s topic.  These ideas should be as specific as possible and should be prioritized. 

Responsibilities

• Contact the people in your group and arrange a meeting time and location to discuss your topic.  You may find that more than one meeting is needed; it is at your discretion to make this determination.  You may also want to encourage your group members to communicate by other means, such as e-mail, especially if there are people who cannot attend the meeting.
• Facilitate all discussions related to your topic.  During your meeting, you should keep the conversation running smoothly and make sure that everyone has an opportunity to express ideas.  Before your discussion is concluded, ask your group to prioritize the ideas that have been shared.
• Make sure that someone is taking notes during your meeting.  You should not be taking the notes yourself, because you will be busy facilitating.  The notes should be as detailed as possible.
• Ensure that your group’s ideas are reported back to the MIMIC Committee on time.  Your report must be typed.  If at all possible, the report should be submitted electronically, as it will be posted on the church’s web site, in the Epistle and elsewhere.  Your report should include a list of everyone involved in the discussion and all of the ideas that were generated (in meetings, through email, etc.).  The ideas should be recorded with as much detail as possible.  If ideas for implementation or potential obstacles were discussed, include this information as well.  You can compose the report yourself, or ask someone else to assist.

• January 31 – Your group should have met by this date.
• February 15 – Submit your group’s report to Gates Smith and Robert Mercer.  This is the last possible date to submit your report.  If at all possible, submit your report prior to this date.
